Would you go to Cuba if the travel ban was lifted?

I probably would visit Cuba if the ban was lifted. I don't see any reason to boycott the place. Besides I'm a Hemingway fan and the Cuban people idolize him to these days.

No passports needed until June 2009?

I read that you don't need a US passport to enter US until June 1, 2009 if you enter by car or boat. Is this true?

I also heard that US congress was trying to get State Department to do something else. This very confusing. Does anyone know what is needed now?
